Manager, Process development and NPI

As a Manager of Process development and NPI at Fazer Confectionery, you work in a responsible and innovative role with new product introduction- and process development project portfolio. You are responsible for the successful implementation of new projects, create and produce new operating models and technical solutions to support the production, and implement and enforce the Confectionery supply chain strategy in your area of ​​responsibility.

In this position, you will successfully lead a team of senior specialists with deep knowledge of process knowhow. Your team will conduct risk and feasibility assessments, produce operating instructions and provide training and guidance in NPI-projects. You will be the one of main users of our production monitoring and development systems. You will be a key player to improve our factory KPI’s. You both plan and execute process development/continuous improvement actions plans targeting improved KPI’s and Operational excellence.  

Your position will be located in Vantaa, and you will report to Fazer Confectionery’s Operational Excellence Senior Manager.

What you'll bring to the team

We are looking for an experienced professional with knowledge in NPI and production technology as well as experience and knowledge in manufacturing processes. Technical, analytical and process-oriented approach to solving problems and strong commitment to objectives is needed in this position. You are experienced in change and project management and have the capability to work in cross-functional teams. You tolerate complexity and uncertainty well and make decisions based on facts, pay attention to details and have the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. We value excellent negotiation and communication skills. You communicate fluently both in English and in Finnish.

Your professionalism is based on a Master or Bachelor degree in engineering, food technology or other relevant field and work experience in industrial environment. We expect you to have advanced IT-skills and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology, quality system and environmental system for example ISO 90001 and FSSC 22000.
