In 2021, we initiated a programme to extensively upgrade our supply chain. This programme will focus on the production capabilities that will be necessary for us to meet future requirements in a more flexible, lasting, and efficient way. In order to fulfil these needs, we are now planning to invest in a new world-class confectionery factory in southern Finland, which would meet future consumer expectations, enhance working conditions and improve energy efficiency. If the plan is realised, the new factory would replace the existing confectionery factories in Vantaa and Lappeenranta. The construction of the new factory would begin at the earliest in 2023. Currently we are in basic design phase.
We are now looking for HRM focused senior HR professional to lead HR in Fazer Confectionery Operations unit including three factories in Vantaa, Lappeenranta and Lahti. You will support Operations management team and senior managers in different HR topics: give guidelines, support and challenge in partnership with business. You will formulate HR agenda with annual focus areas and plan and implement HR activities related to our investment project of new confectionery factory.
You have gained experience in larger scale change projects in production or blue collar work environment. You are experienced in interpreting collective agreements, employee relations and problems solving related, for example, to employment issues or salary payment in shift work in production or blue collar work environment. You will develop and implement current and new HR practices and processes suitable for production environment.
Your primary focus is to ensure business continuity from people perspective, support business in transformation journey of new factory from HR perspective and develop employee experience among our production personnel in co-operation with others.
You will report to VP, HR, Fazer Confectionery and in dotted line to VP, Operations. You will belong to Operations’ management team, Confectionery business HR team and you will be supported by both local HR professionals in factories and centralized HR teams of Fazer group HR.
This permanent position will be located in Vaarala, Vantaa.

You have at least 8 years of relevant experience and you are experienced in heading HR and people activities in industrial investment project or other larger scale transformation. You have also experience in developing employee experience in production environment.

You are strongly business-oriented and have can do attitude and hands-on working style. You are confident and have influencing skills also in management team level. You have strong resilience in quickly changing situations and work environment and flexible attitude towards work.
We expect you to have relevant university degree or equivalent. You communicate fluently in Finnish and in English.
